Pav Bhajji
Ingredients -
1 cup here means a small cup. This serves 3-4 ppl
Cauliflower - 1 cup
Potatoes, chopped - 1 cup
frozen peas - little
carrot, chopped - 1 cup
cabbage, shredded - 1 cup
green bell pepper - 1 cup
onion, chopped - 1 small
tomato, chopped - 1 small
green chillies, slit lengthwise - 2
MDH pav bhajji masala - a must
chilli powder, plain.
salt
1 lime
chopped cilantro for garnish
Method -
Boil all the veggies in the cooker, with 1/2 cups water. for 3-4 whistles.
In a kadai, add jeera n the green chillies.
Add the onions n saute. Then add the tomatoes.
Once sauted, add the boiled veggies, along with the water into the kadai.
Now add 1 tsp of pav bhajji masala, salt to taste, very little chilli powder.
Let it boil n all the water evaporate. Taste it and add more spices accordingly.
Wen the bhajji consistency is reached, You can add a spoon of better (optional) and the juc from half a lime and add the cilantro.
For this you can use the indian style pav or the round buns that u get in american stores. Just roast them a little with some low fat butter and serve.
NOTE - Be very careful while adding; salt, lemon n other spices, coz, its difficult to adjust them once added.
