Gingerbreadman cookies by Divya Iyer

Gingerbreadman cookies

Ingredients
1 cup of whole wheat flour( i used multigrain whole wheat flour)
1/4 cup of brown sugar(u can use regular sugar as well)
1/4 cup of honey(for the replacement of molases)
1 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp each of ginger powder, nutmeg powder, cinnamon powder,(i used dry ginger powder as well)
1 pinch of salt
1/2 stick of butter(melted)
method:
sift all the dry ingredients flour, spices, baking soda & powder,salt together..keep it aside.. then mix all the wet ingredients honey,brown sugar,butter with spatula, & slowly add the dry ingredients make like a dough.. refrigrate it for an hr.. if the dough is falling apart jus wet ur hand with water and knead it well.. roll the dough (i used to clean wrap to prevent sticking) in 1/4 inch thickness and cut in desired shape.. i dont have the GB cutter so i used the templete and cut the shape in parchment paper & used it to bring that shape.. preheat the oven for 350 degree and align the cookies in the cookie tray , bake it for 8 to 10 minutes..(corner has to be little brown)
allow the cookies to cool and design it accordingly(i used royal icing to decorate)..
njoi the cookie,it is perfect for tea snack(v loved it )
