Chickpea rice by Rajee

Chickpea rice recipe (2 servings):

1.Onion – 1
2.Tomato – 1/2
3.Gin gar paste – 1tsp
4.Cilantro – 1 cup, finely chopped
5.Garam masala – 1tsp
6.Sambar powder - 1tsp
7.Turmeric powder - 1tsp
8.Curry leaves - 5
9.Cloves, cinnamon
10.Black & Normal cumin seeds - 1 tsp
11.Cooked Chick peas – 1 1/2 cup (Soak 5hrs and cook for 3 whistles)
12.Yogurt – 1 tbsp
13. Green chillies - 2
14. Rice - 1cup (I used sona masoori rice... u can use Basmati instead)

Preparation:

1. Heat oil and add cloves,cinnamon,cumin seeds...
2. Saute onions, add green chillies, curry leaves and cilantro...
3. Add gin gar paste, tomato...once tomato is cooked add yogurt and mix it well..
4. Add cooked chick peas, turmeric powder,garam masala,sambar powder and fry for a minute.
5. Add rice, 2 cups of water and salt....
6. Make it for 3 whistles....

Note: While u cook chickpeas add a bay leaf... that wil giv a gr8 taste....
