Pachai pairu Kurma/Kulumbu
This is such a yummy kurma which we can have with roti, dosa etc.
You can make it for dinner and can have left over with dosa for bf the next day. Very easy and of course with all the goodness of the sprouts...
Ingredients :
Boil together in a vessel untill cooked :
---------------------------------------------------
Sprouted Pachai Pairu : 1/2 glass, after sprouting, it will become double and even more.
Coriander pwdr - 2 tsp
Red chilly pwdr - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric pwdr - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Water - as needed with respect to the required consistency.
Optional:
-----------
Potato - 1 small diced, with skin
Grind Together:
-------------------
Coconut - 3 small pieces
Cloves - 2
Cinnamon - 2 small pieces
Tomato - 1 big red ripe. I used Vine tomato
Ginger - 1 inch fat piece
Garlic - 3 fat cloves
Thalipu/Tadka :
------------------
Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard - 1/4 tsp
Yellow Onion - 1/4 of a big, finely chopped
Garnishing :
---------------
Coriander & Curry Leaves - few
Method:
----------
1. In a Vessel, add desired amount of water and add this pairu along with the above mentioned "Boil together" section. You may or may not add potato. Cook almost till the pairu is soft. I think 1-1 1/2 glass should be fine or else later the curry will be very watery.
2. Then add the masala and boil till the raw smell goes. Then add the thalipu and garnish with coriander and curry leaves.
Enjoy with Chapathi and dosa.....
