Kozhukattai by Ramya Praveen

SWEET KOZHUKATTAI

Rice Flour- 1cup
Shredded Coconut- 3/4cup (frozen means konjam neram veliya vainga )
Jaggery/Vellam/Brown sugar (the ones u get in walmart)- 3/4 cup
Ghee - 1/4 cup (i dont add so much 4 tbsp poduvaen its upto u to decide)

In a mixing bowl add the Rice flour lil oil and mix with warm water to make a dough. apply lil oil on top and set aside.... (200gms flour ku u will need around 100ml water add lil by lil so that u know it when its just right)

For the Poornam

Heat the pan add the ghee . Once its hot add the coconut and fry well. Konjam dry aaganum coconut roast pannidathinga.
Now add the jaggery and saute well.... Konjam thanni vidum athu ellam drain agara varaikum kelaritae irunga..
Poornam nalla surundu varum without any water... let it cool for sometime.... Konjam warmah irukkum pode small balls panni vachidunga

For the Kozhkattai

Make small balls of the rice flour dough apply some oil in ur palm and flatten the ball to ur palm size equally keep the pooran ball inside and fold the sides. shape it of ur choice....

I steam it in my idli plates. Place all the prepared kozhukattai and arrange it in ur idli plate and steam it for 10 to 15 mns..... ur kozhukattai is ready....
