Red onion - 1,finely sliced
Spring onions - 4,5,Chopped finely
Ginger-garlic paste,or crushed GG - 1 to 2 tsps or Ginger julienned
Tomato ketchup
Soya sauce
Chilli sauce
Red Chilli flakes
Salt
Chilli powder
Ajinomoto(optional)
Cornflour
Oil

For batter:

Maida - 1 cup
Rice flour - 2 tbsps
Corn flour - 2 tbsps
Ginger garlic paste - 1 1/2 tsps
Soya sauce - 1 tsp
Chilli sauce - 1 tsp
Chilli powder
Salt
Red food color (optional)

Method:

Make a batter using the ingredients listed above, adding water little by little, don't make it too thick or too thin.
Add the cauliflower florets to the batter, mix it thoroughly so that all the florets are covered in batter, and let it marinade for abt 20 mins.
Meanwhile, take little oil in a kadai, and once it heats up a bit,add the crushed ginger-garlic,or GG paste, and red chilli flakes, and saute until the raw smell goes.Alternatively,if you prefer, instead of GG paste, you can just add ginger, julienned.
Add the sliced onions, and the white portion of the spring onions and saute until transparent.
Then add the chopped green bell peppers, and saute until it gets tender. It can be a bit crunchy if desired.
Next,add salt,chilli powder,ajinomoto(optional),tomato ketchup,chilly sauce,soya sauce,little water and mix well.If you want more gravy,accordingly increase the amount of the sauces,and water.
Mix a little cornflour in water and add it to the gravy,so the consistency becomes a bit thick. If you prefer a gravy version, adjust the amount of cornflour accordingly.
Fry the cauliflower florets, covered with batter,in oil,and drain it on a kitchen towel.
Finally add the fried cauliflower pieces( After it cools a bit)to the prepared gravy/dry masala, mix well, and garnish with the green portion of spring onions.
Gobi manchurian ready!
