Ingredients 1 soak for 1 hr
tuardhal----1 tsp
dhania ----1tea
jeera ----1/2 tea
ginger----1/2 inch
green chillies ---3(acc to taste)
coconut(grated) -----1/2 cup
ingredients 2
sour cream ---1/2 cup
yogurt ------1/2 cup
asafoetida----1/8 tsp
turmeric powder----1/4 tsp
salt to taste
ingredients 3 for seasoning
oil
mustard seeds
curry leaves
2 red chillies
suggested veggies
okra,chow chow,zucchini,white pumpkin
Method:
If u r using either zucchini or okra..saute in little oil separately until they are 3/4 th cooked...u can also bake in 450 degree oven for 10 mins with little oil.
chow chow and WP..has to be cooked in MW or steamed.
first grind ingredients 1 and then in the same blender add ingredients two...If its too thick..add little water.[But remember...the yogurt tends to become more watery once it is heated.So the best bet to adjust consistency is right at the end.]
Now pour oil and add the seasonings and the desired veggie and the yogurt mixture.
Switch off the stove when the mixture just begins to bubble..and garnish with cilantro leaves.
(variation:u can also omit soaking part by adding 1 tbsp gram flour ,1 tea spoon coriander powder,1/2 teaspoon jeera powder,1/4 inch ginger,3 green chillies to the yogurt mixture and blend everything together)
