soak rice for an hour...boil in plenty of water...when the while stuff floats up...drain...boil again with 4 or 5 cups of boiled water..and when the rice is done...drain..:)
1/2 cup dried rice...so..I'd use arnd 5 to 6 cups of water...any SS vessel that can fit in this amt of water shud work fine...mine gets ready in 10-12 mins..so easy...

point is u have to repeat until the water is clear...white stuff is the
starch..I guess..I use sona masoori too..I keep the pot with the rice in
one ....simultaneously I boil another pot with water ..so that when the
starch form up..I drain and immly add the next pot of boiling
water...so totala...oru 8 to 12 mins aahum...:)
