Poondu araitha kulambhu by Shobana

Poondu araitha kulambhu
Ingredients:
Poondu-15 flakes,
Onion- ½ onion thinly sliced
Tomato- 1 thinly sliced
Tamarind-1/2 lemon size or equivalent amount of paste
Turmeric powder-1/2 tea spoon.

For seasoning
Mustard, jeera, urad dal, channa dal,
Curry leaves and coriander leaves-little
Salt- to taste,

For frying in little oil and then grind it to a smooth paste.
Red chilli-3 to 5 (depending in ur taste)
Coriander seeds- 1 spoon,
Jeera- ½ spoon,
Black pepper- ½ spoon,
Sombu-1/4 spoon,
Poondu-5 flakes,
Curry leaves- little,

Method:
In a kadai, add oil then season it with necessary items,
Then add the garlic and fry, then add onions and after it becomes translucent, add tomato and cook till it becomes soft,
Then add the ground paste, turmeric powder, curry leaves and coriander leaves.
Add the tamarind paste and required amount of water and bring it to boil to the consistency of kumlambu.

Note: if u don’t want to grind, then u can add required amount of chilli powder, coriander powder, pepper powder in the kulambu.
